ELRUS Hydraulic Grizzly Bars and Vibrating Grizzly Feeders operate in tandem to efficiently eliminate oversized rock and fines from the primary crushing feed, optimizing production and minimizing wear on equipment.

The initial phase of the sorting process involves the removal of oversized material from pit run or shot rock that is loaded onto the Hydraulic Side Dump Grizzly. This leaves the smaller material, which then settles in the hopper and transitions onto the Vibrating Grizzly Feeder (VGF).

Situated at the base of the hopper, the VGF removes fine material such as sand and small stones, ensuring a steady feed rate into the jaw crusher.

Vibrating Grizzly Feeders

Vibrating grizzly feeders efficiently eliminate fine materials from the crusher feed before entering the jaw, preventing any contamination in the crushing chamber. This promotes rock-on-rock crushing, thus increasing efficiency and prolonging equipment life.

The vibrating action of the feeder generates agitation, resulting in material separation. This segregation process causes smaller fines to settle at the bottom while larger rocks rise to the top. The segregation continues as the feed moves along the length of the VGF; by the time it reaches the end fingers, the fines pass through the spacing, allowing only clean stones to proceed into the crushing chamber.
