Dripper - what is it?
Adripper is nothing more than a small device in the form of a conical vessel used for brewing coffee - you've certainly seen one more than once. Special paper filters are used with it. The device is named after the brewing method itself - drip is a manual method for making filter coffee. With regard to the material, there are several types of drippers: metal, glass, porcelain or plastic. The latter is an ideal choice for the beginning of the drip adventure, while the ceramic one can additionally decorate the kitchen décor. Regardless of which type you choose, each has exactly the same purpose. The basic version of the drip funnel can make approximately 300 millilitres of coffee beverage.
Dripper - key benefits
The dripper is a small device with many advantages that you will love after just one use. First and foremost, it is a much cheaper option than the classic bean to cup coffee. So if you don't want to spend a lot to enjoy the perfect coffee every morning, the dripper will prove to be the perfect choice. It is a good solution especially for kitchens where there is not enough space for large devices - the conical vessel can be successfully stored in a drawer or cupboard without taking up valuable counter space. Another great advantage of the appliance is that you can use it anywhere outside the home. Just as you can't take your espresso machine with you on a picnic, on a camping trip or on a mountain expedition, there is nothing stopping you from enjoying the taste and aroma of your favourite coffee wherever you go! What's more, if you opt for good quality beans, dripper brewing brings out the best in your coffee - both in terms of taste and aroma.

How do I use the dripper?
To make coffee in a dripper, you need the aforementioned paper filters and water at a temperature of around 90-95 degrees. Ideally, it should be filtered beforehand. Before you start brewing the coffee drink, remember to grind the beans with a coffee grinder.
The actual brewing process is as follows:
1. Insert the paper filter into the dripper so that it fits snugly against the sides of the funnel.
2. Rinse the filter with hot water so that the taste of the paper is not perceptible in the prepared coffee.
3Pour the ground coffee into the dripper and place it on top of your favourite mug.
4. Pour approx. 50 ml of water into the dripper in a slow, circular motion - so that the coffee is soaked on all sides.
5Wait approx. 30 seconds - during this time the "preinfusion" process will open and prepare the beans for the next brewing stages.
6. Pour the remaining water from the kettle into the dripper in two or three batches, also using slow, circular movements - add water every approx. 15-20 seconds, while gently stirring the coffee in the funnel.
7.When the coffee has finished flowing into the cup, remove the filter and dispose of it in the bin.
8. Rinse the dripper with water... and you are ready to enjoy the extraordinary taste and aroma of your coffee!
The whole process of brewing coffee in a dripper takes about 3-4 minutes - as long as we are talking about a standard portion of brew. The classic drippers are designed for one cup or one mug . If you want to be able to prepare several cups of coffee at the same time - for the whole family, for example - it is better to go for a larger dripper, which you can easily use in combination with a pot. In this case, the only thing that will increase is the brewing time - in proportion to the coffee portion.
Choose the perfect dripper!
If you cannot imagine a day without coffee, but you are still not convinced about buying a coffee machine, a dripper is the perfect solution for you. The coffee prepared in the dripper will turn out to be much tastier than coffee that is poured directly into a cup of boiling water and the daily operation of the machine will be extremely quick and easy. In the FormAdore assortment there are various models of drippers available - both those made of stainless steel and the more elegant ones made of porcelain or stoneware. Not only will you brew a delicious coffee drink with them, but you will also add character to the interior of your kitchen. Which coffee for the dripper?
When choosing coffee to brew in a dripper, it is worth paying particular attention to the quality of the beans. The best choice will be the light roast - ground dark beans can make the brew simply bitter. This is because the drip method accentuates the negative flavour characteristics of dark roasting. In addition to the degree of roasting, the freshness of the roast itself is also extremely important. The fresher the coffee is, the better the aromas the dripper is able to extract from it. The degree of grind of the beans is also of great importance - they should be neither too fine nor too large. It is good if the coffee is the size of sugar particles or coarser sand. In the case of finely ground coffee, the brew takes longer to brew and ends up becoming cloudy and too intense in flavour. If, on the other hand, the coffee is ground too coarsely, the water flows through it without washing out the right amount of substance from the ground beans.
And which type of coffee will prove to be the best choice?
If you want a coffee infusion with a milder, sweeter taste, go for Brazilian or Guatemalan blends. If you prefer a coffee with a slightly fruity flavour, coffee from Tanzania, Rwanda or Ethiopia is a good choice. The beans from these countries are perfectly suited to the pour-over method of brewing coffee.
Coffee grinder - the basis of well-ground beans
You already know that the key to success with a dripper is freshly ground beans of medium thickness. In addition to the funnel itself, the filters and the coffee beans, you therefore need to get a good quality gr inder. You can opt for a manual variant, which will fit perfectly into the whole coffee brewing ritual, or make things easier on yourself by choosing an electric grinder. The manual variant will also work well outside the home - so if you plan to take your dripper on camping trips and excursions, it's better to opt for it. However, if you usually only drink your coffee at home, it is worth choosing an automatic grinder.
When looking for the ideal model, pay attention first and foremost to how finely ground the beans can be - after all, this is very important with a dripper. In FormAdore you will find many models from popular brands such as Smeg, La Pavoni or KitchenAid.

What are the benefits of drip coffee - Knowledge
Drip coffee, also known as filtered coffee or pour-over coffee, is a popular brewing method that involves pouring hot water over ground coffee beans placed in a filter. The water then drips through the grounds and filter, resulting in a smooth and delicious cup of coffee. There are several benefits of drip coffee, including:
1. Consistency: One of the main advantages of drip coffee is its consistency. The water drips through the grounds at a steady pace, ensuring that the coffee is brewed evenly and consistently every time. This is especially important for those who prefer a consistent flavor and strength in their coffee.
2. Customization: Another great benefit of drip coffee is that it allows for customization. With pour-over methods, such as the Hario V60 or Chemex, you can adjust the grind, water temperature, and pour rate to achieve a coffee that suits your taste preferences. This level of control is unmatched by other brewing methods.
3. Simplicity: Drip coffee is also very easy to make. All you need is a filter, ground coffee, and hot water. It is a perfect brewing method for those who are just getting into coffee or those who prefer a simpler brewing process.
4. Health benefits: Drip coffee is also associated with several health benefits. Studies have shown that moderate coffee consumption may reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and liver cancer. Additionally, drip coffee typically contains fewer calories and less sugar than other coffee drinks.
5. Cost-effective: Finally, drip coffee is a cost-effective brewing method. There is no need for expensive equipment or pods, making it an affordable option for those looking to save money on their daily caffeine fix.
In conclusion, drip coffee is a great brewing method with several benefits. Its consistency, customization, simplicity, health benefits, and affordability make it an excellent choice for coffee lovers everywhere.
